Wondering what happened to the MVP Nomination in Nov?

If you have been to the India MVP Page recently and visiting the page religiously in the past, you might have noticed that there is no MVP nomination that we are doing in this cycle..
As it says on the page, we are doing MVP Nomination by invitation only... There are primarily 2 reasons for the same:
  1. We elicit MVP nominations at various opportunities (TechED, SAF, IDF etc) hoping to find any MVP candidate. The idea is to not let any potential candidate go unnoticed 'cause of lack of information.
    The drawback is that we get lot of nominations with just name and email address and that sends the whole nomination in a big loop of soliciting more information, waiting, following up and so on.. And we have built up a huge collection of nominations that we are processing right now. Opening up the nomination for everyone will create a deluge that we won't be able to process with the detail we would like to.
  2. Most of the community candidates are well known and bubble up from one quarter or another. We will not miss out of these great individuals as nominations by invitation will get us these candidates with good reputation in the community.

For the people who had subscribed to the MVP Alerts, we will be sending a link from where they can provide the nomination information. For those who provided us with their mobile nos. we will also send a SMS informing of the opportunity to nominate themselves for the MVP award.

Making Vista Search your PST Files

Vista can index a lot of files and for some reason it doesn’t index the MS Outlook files.. maybe it is as Outlook is already doing the same.. in case you still want to search PST from Vista Search here is what you can do: Go to the Control Panel Choose "Indexing Options" Click on the "Advanced" button Click on the "File Types" tab Check the checkbox next to "PST" to include it in the search Select the bullet next to the option "Index Properties and File Contents" Click OK and OK again on the message that appears.
