Outdated News - Exclusively on Economic Times

While checking the RSS feeds of EconomicTimes.com I came across this article: "MS Launches free tool for students" dated May 18 2006. The article mentions that Visual Studio 2005 Express is now free for students.

there are two factual errors in this reporting:
  1. the tool is free for everyone who wants to use it. The tool is not only focussed on students but also coding enthusiasts for whom recently there was a Maker Fair also organised.
  2. this tool has been free since the annoucement on April 19 2006. This blog covered the story: http://abhishekkant.blogspot.com/2006/04/visual-studio-express-is-free.html

My family genealogy : Kurmi

The Rig Veda, refered to an Aryan people living in the highlands of Pamir in Central Asia. Almost 1000 years later, the Aryans migrated in three different directions. One journeyed towards present-day Iran, another towards Europe, and through Afghanistan. Those Aryans who settled in Punjab became a very happy and prosperous people. In the past days, I haven’t been blogging. A lot has happened in that time – terrorist attack in Mumbai, MNS lost track, global recession set in and Congress advanced in the country.
